We set out nearly one year ago this very day, in search of new creative horizons; lo and behold we have landed, well. With never ending cold rain beating down upon us, it was a long and arduous journey to say the very least, but survived it we have, and are no worse for the wear.

Finding highly accommodating living quarters much to our satisfaction (and great relief) on our arrival, we walked the grand pathway through the snow, over the hill to the artisan colony, straight away, eager to lay claim on our rightful work place.

Our fancy new work shanty leaked like a sieve. We hammered and nailed and tried to make do. But, weeks of melting ice and rain passed, and the dampness lingered in the dark corners long after the vernal equinox, making it unfit for man nor beast. Found covered in moss and a barnacle-like species of unknown origin just days ago, pity was finally taken on us. Yet, it would not be surprising to learn that we were only rescued because some hideous creature was found hiding under the floorboard directly below us, not paying rent.

One will never know, and this one does not care, as we were carted away to a better place with dry, sturdy walls that reach all the way down to the floor, and cheerfully bright windows of real pane glass. It is here, I am incredibly pleased to announce, that our real adventure begins.
